Top 5 Reasons why Facebook Groups help network marketing teams with retention.

Retention is the key word for anyone’s network marketing team.  It’s a constant struggle to make sure our whole team is happy, and will continue to order our products month after month.  Fortunately for us, the new iteration of Facebook Groups is perfect to help us with retention.

1.  They foster a sense of community and support.

Network marketing and mlm business attract people from every corner of society.  People come from all walks of life, and every imaginable background.  One thing we have in common though…we all want to be part of something bigger.  We have an innate need to be accepted, and supported. Oftentimes, people aren’t getting the support they need from family or friends, and there’s just something about the community that most network marketing companies have that really helps people get over their own fears and insecurities.  Facebook Groups has an amazing built in way for us to introduce, celebrate, and support our team members.  We simply tag them in a status message, and it gives a great way for the team to support and spread the love.

2.  They allow easy communication amongst teams.

Gone are the days of sending mass emails out to your team.  If your team is on a Facebook Group, one can simply post a question or statement as a status message, and your team will be push-notified.  Having an in-home presentation next Thursday?  Post it as a status message (or an event) to share with the group.  Logistics such as who’s bringing what are easily handled in a public format, so there are no surprises.  Maybe you got shipped too many of your product this month. Chances are, someone on your team needs exactly what you have.  Send a post and watch it go to a new home.

3.  They offer ridiculously easy file sharing of important documents and videos.

If your company has been around for a while, chances are there are an inordinate amount of documents and videos that exist in your back office.  As a leader, you may have a specific way of introducing the system to a new associate you’ve enrolled.  It’s so convenient that we can create documents that stay in the documents section of Facebook Groups.  Maybe it’s a training video, maybe it’s a new associate enrollment form, or the information of a new product.  Keep your downline fully informed by uploading relevant training videos and documents in the documents section.

4.  They give you amazing opportunity to leverage your time.

If you’ve reached a certain level of success with your company, or are like many people who feel like you don’t have enough hours in the day, then Facebook Groups has a wonderful solution for you.  Since the groups foster community, when a new team member posts a question to the group, the entire group as an opportunity to answer that question.  The larger your group, the faster that question can get answered.  Gone are the days where you are always the “go to” person.  Once you train your team to ask questions on the group first, you’ll see how valuable this method is. People’s questions will be answered in seconds, and they’ll be satisfied.

5.  They help you establish who the leaders are on your team, and who is currently emerging as a leader.

Leaders in network marketing float to the top quickly.  We can see who posts often, and who’s making all the right moves for success in mlm and network marketing.  They answer others questions, and are often real self-starters.   The beauty of Facebook Groups is that we can quickly and easily identify those on the team who have what it takes, and who needs a bit of help getting to that next level.  Without a constant form of communication, it would be far more difficult to identify these key people on your team.

If you haven’t set up a Facebook Group for your team yet do it right away!
